The Dulse has several names and is probably best known as Sea Bacon, with its salty and smoky taste, which it gets from frying. It's also the first tip we can give for cooking: Fry the Palmaria crispy on a frying pan and you'll get a bacon-like raw material to nibble on. Otherwise, Palmaria has good properties for other types of cooking, it can be baked, boiled, used as a flavoring agent, or as a flavor enhancer and it can be included as an ingredient in soups, stews, sauces, and dough. Try, for example, butter-fried seaweed (like any vegetable), try replacing some of the lettuce leaves with Palmaria or try baking your bread or pizza dough with it.

The impressive content of various nutrients includes a high proportion of protein and fiber, as well as vitamins (A, B, C, E) and minerals such as iron, zinc, manganese, and copper. Remarkably, Palmaria also has vitamin B12 which is mainly found in animal products and can therefore be difficult for vegans to get a sufficient amount of B12 is necessary for the nervous system to function optimally and for our cells to be able to convert nutrition into energy. Some dietitians recommend consuming Palmaria to obtain the natural B12 vitamin. Another example of an important mineral like Palmaria contains zinc which strengthens both hair and nails, as well as helping and keeping us healthy as it is part of the immune system.
